Procurement & Sourcing Lead

About the Role

This is a hands-on role with full ownership of Labquality’s procurement processes. You will personally drive international sourcing, negotiate and structure contracts, manage supplier relationships, and develop the practices, systems and reporting that make procurement a strategic asset. The role reports directly to the CEO.

Key Responsibilities

• Independent ownership of procurement: negotiate and structure contracts, manage supplier relationships, and own the full category lifecycle
• Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and external suppliers
• Own and continuously develop the end-to-end procurement process across the company
• Take commercial ownership of sample sourcing; including supplier identification, evaluation and selection, ordering processes and cost management and working in close collaboration with our experienced sample sourcing team on domain-specific requirements
• Ensure procurement practices align with quality, regulatory, and business requirements
• Develop procurement processes, reporting and CLM practices — bringing structure and visibility to company-wide purchasing
• Report on procurement performance, risks, and opportunities directly to the CEO
• Collaborate cross-functionally with business development, operations, and scientific teams

Qualifications and Experience

• Proven experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management from any industry. Background in life science, diagnostics, or healthcare is an advantage but not a requirement
• Demonstrated ability to manage and develop supplier relationships at an international level
• Experience owning a functional process area end-to-end
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills
• Solid understanding of procurement best practices, compliance, and risk management
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
• Fluency in English; Finnish and/or other European languages are an advantage

• Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, able to build trust with internal and external stakeholders
• Commercially minded with a track record in contract structuring, negotiation and supplier performance management — comfortable owning the full procurement lifecycle
• Pragmatic problem-solver who thrives in a dynamic, growing organisation
